Kindergarten applicant families will have a parent/guardian conversation with the Director of Admission, Nancy Goldberg. Please note: children applying for Kindergarten must be five years old by September 1, 2022.
All K-6 applicants and parents/guardians will be invited to participate in a grade-level screening. We will inform you of your screening date by January. During these sessions, children will be asked to participate in a variety of activities that will help us get to know them. Parents/guardians will also be able to ask questions related to Oakwood’s curriculum and school life.
Teacher recommendations and transcripts are due to the office no later than January 7, 2022. We prefer items to be updated through the prospective family portal on Oakwood Connected. To download supplemental forms, click here.
In addition to the application and interview, we require transcripts and confidential teacher recommendations from the student's current English and Math instructors, and school Administrator. We prefer items to be updated through the prospective family portal on Oakwood Connected. To download supplemental forms, click here. We must receive these recommendations and school records by January 13, 2023.
Please Note: Oakwood does not require the ISEE. All secondary campus applicants are asked to complete a student statement on the application. This writing sample replaces Oakwood’s requirement of the ISEE and although it will not be graded, it is nonetheless an important opportunity for students to showcase their written communication skills and their perspective on the topic.
